  • ITF Tournament (Pro): BT10 Event #1 & BT10 Event #2

Enrollments Close on 1st of November for ITF Players and 6th of November for Amateurs Players.

EVENT SCHEDULE:

 

Friday 14th of November (From 8am)

  • ITF BT10 Event #1 Pro Category (16 Teams only)

  • Consolation ITF BT10 Event 1 Pro Category

  • Doubles Over 40's & Over 50's (Male & Female)

  • Adults & Teens (Any level, one adult and one kid/teen 17 years old and under)

  • Team Cup (2 males & 2 Females, Pro players are not allowed to play)


Saturday 15th of November (From 7am)

  • ITF BT10 Event #2 Pro Category (16 Teams only)

  • Consolation ITF BT10 Event 2 Pro Category

  • Male Doubles categories A, B and C

  • Female Doubles categories A, B and C
     

7pm - Tournament Dinner (location to be confirmed)
 

Sunday 16th of November (From 7am)

  • Mixed Doubles Pro (16 Teams only)

  • Mixed Doubles categories A, B, C & Over 40's

AMATEURS Event:

ITF Players:

If you're participating in the ITF (PRO) event your team must be registered on the IPIN website for both events.
The deadline for registration is November 1st.

Over 40's & Over 50's Event:
*The Over 40's/50's categories will be divided into male and female, and mixed teams will not be accepted. Any player who turns 40/50 years old in 2025 is eligible to participate in this category.

Please note that players participating in the ITF BT10 #1 will be eligible to compete in the Over 40's/50's on Friday

​ITF BT10 #2 & Amateurs Players (Cat. A)

Please note that players participating in the ITF BT10 #2 will NOT be eligible to compete in both categories on Saturday

RULES:

 

ITF Doubles category and Consolation

ITF Category with maximum of 16 doubles in a elimination round. 

All games will be played in two set first in 6 games No-Ad scoring and a Match Tie-break in lieu of a third set.

Amateurs Doubles Categories

The Amateurs Tournament will be divided into groups, where all teams within the same group will compete against each other.

All matches in the group stage will be played in one set, with the first team to reach 6 games.
In the finals, the format will be one set to 6 games.

Each team is guaranteed to play at least two games in the tournament.

​​Time & Schedule

The tournament will commence on Friday, the 14th, beginning at 8am, followed by matches starting at 7 am on Saturday 15th and  Sunday, the 16th.

Originally, the tournament was scheduled to conclude at 3 pm on Sunday. However, please note that this timeline might be subject to change due to weather forecasts and the possibility of longer matches.

  

The official schedule will be released on November 7th, Via Tournify.
ITF Tournament draws will be accessible the day before the scheduled event.

 

All doubles teams are required to check in at the tournament 30 minutes before their scheduled match time. If any player is absent from the court at the scheduled time, a walkover (W.O.) will be enforced.

CATEGORIES

PRO CATEGORY

Players at this level compete in ITF Tournaments and have advanced in the knockout phases of those competitions. It features the highest level of skill and competition.

CATEGORY A

Advanced players who require more training, strength, conditioning, and experience to compete at PRO level. Players at this level may have reached semi-finals or finals in the former intermediate categories

CATEGORY B

Experienced players who have been competing for some time. Players may have reached semi-finals or finals in the former beginners categories.

CATEGORY C

Former beginners who have been playing and competing for a while, or players with strong tennis or racket sports skills adapting to beach tennis.

CATEGORY D

True beginners who are new to the sport and may never have played a tournament or any other racket sport.


If any of the new categories fail to meet the minimum number of participating teams, the organization reserves the right to merge two categories, such as combining Category D with C or Category B with A.

Agreement & Indemnity

Although the safety of all sport activities is the primary concern, outdoor sport activities at Sydney Beach Tennis Open 2025 facilities may cause injuries and/or death.  I expressly assume the risk of injury, death, and/or illness arising from any cause, and agree to waive the right to pursue any claim against the organizers and the persons in charge.


I, the participant specified above, confirm that I read all the information above and I am in perfect health for the practice of Beach Tennis and I accept financial responsibility for any injury that I may cause either to myself or to any other participant due to my negligence. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Australian Beach Tennis their principals, agents, trainers and volunteers from liability for the injury or death of any person(s) and damage that may result from my negligent or intentional act or omission while participating in activities offered by Australian BT This is includes but is not limited to parks, recreations area, playgrounds, area adjacent and/or area selected for Australian Beach Tennis for beach tennis practice.

Cancellation of registrations will be accepted until 1st of November 2025 with a 100% of the payment back. After this date no refund will be received. As an outdoor event, the weather cannot be controlled. If the event is forced to be cancelled due to weather, a credit for future ABT tournaments will be offered.
